Temple is located in the East Kumbakonam and is 2 km from Aduthurai. Sun resides here with his consorts Ushadevi and Chhaya Devi. It is said that Sun God did penance here for Lord Siva and relieved from Brahma’s curse.

Arasavalli Surya Narayana Swamy Temple
It was mentioned in Padma Purana that Suryanarayana (Sun God) born to Sage Kashyap and Aditi. It was the Sage Kashyap who installed Suryanarayana (Sun God) at this place. Temple is located in Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh.

Agastheeswarar Temple Kolapakkam
Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva. The presiding deity Agastheeswarar resides here with his consort Anandavalli Thayar. It is said that Sun God did penance here to rejoin with his wife PrathyushaDevi. This temple is one of the Navagraha Sthalam located in Chennai. To reach this temple, one needs to take the diagonal opposite road from MIOT hospital via Manapakkam main road. Temple is 5 km from Chennai Trade Center. The uniqueness of this temple is that there is a shrine dedicated to Suryanar who stays on top of a chariot with 7 horses.
